This policy explains what information SiteHero ("we", "us") collects through sitehero.dev and our client intake form, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@sitehero.dev.
The short version
- Browsing sitehero.dev: we don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
- Our intake form: we collect what you choose to tell us about your business and project, so we can respond and prepare a proposal.
- We never sell your information or use it for anything unrelated to working with you.
Information we collect
When you fill in our intake form
Our project intake form asks for your business name, your name and role, email address, phone number, and details about your business, current website and domain, design preferences, content, and timeline. You can also upload files (such as logos and images) and share links to files stored elsewhere.
To protect the form from spam, our form provider also records technical details with each submission, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you submitted from.
While you fill in the form, your answers are saved in your own browser's local storage so you don't lose progress. That copy stays on your device and is cleared when you submit or choose "Clear my answers". Nothing is sent to us until you press Submit.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
When you browse sitehero.dev
We don't run analytics or advertising tools, and we don't set tracking cookies. Our hosting provider processes standard technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the website and keep it secure. Our fonts are served from our own site, not from third-party font services.
How we use your information
- To review your project, reply to you, and prepare a proposal.
- To design, build, launch, and support your website or other services you hire us for.
- To keep business records, such as project history and correspondence.
- To prevent spam and abuse.
We won't add you to marketing lists without your permission.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information. We use a small number of service providers to run our business, who process information on our behalf:
- Netlify: hosts our websites and stores intake form submissions and uploaded files.
- Cloudflare: manages our domain and forwards email sent to our address.
- Our email provider: receives and stores the emails we get, including form notifications.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or with your permission.
How long we keep it
We keep project information for as long as we need it to work with you and to maintain reasonable business records. If we don't end up working together, you can ask us to delete your intake submission at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@sitehero.dev and we'll respond as soon as we can. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.
Security
We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of storing or sending data is completely secure. Please don't send passwords or login details through our form or by email; we'll arrange secure access separately if a project needs it.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
